In modern high-pressure infrastructure, the mechanism to isolate fluid plays a critical role in safety, system integrity, and process control. Trunnion-mounted ball valves represent the peak structural design for severe service applications. Unlike standard floating ball valves, where the ball is held in place by two elastomeric seats, a Trunnion Valve utilizes additional mechanical anchoring at the top and bottom of the ball. This distributes high pressure directly into the valve body frame, protecting the seats from excessive wear and drastically reducing the operating torque.
The global transition to ultra-high-pressure pipeline systems, petrochemical processing, and district heating plants has catalyzed a strict regulatory environment for valves. Standard compliance like API 6D, ASME B16.34, and ISO 10497 is no longer optional—it is mandatory. Procurement professionals and project designers need highly engineered valves that reduce fugitive emissions and prevent catastrophic blowout events.
A technical breakdown of what makes a trunnion-mounted valve the preferred mechanism for heavy industrial operations.
Trunnion valves naturally support DBB mechanisms. When the valve is closed, pressure from upstream and downstream pushes the spring-loaded seats against the ball, locking fluid in both directions. Any cavity pressure can be safely bled through a drain plug.
Electrostatic build-up inside the valve assembly is discharged via grounded springs to the stem. The stem itself is inserted from the inside of the body structure, ensuring it cannot blow out even under dynamic pressure peaks.
For valves of 6 inches and larger, dedicated sealant injection fittings are integrated into both the stem and seat areas. If the soft seal fails due to abrasive media, secondary compound injections restore temporary seal safety.
Engineered according to API 607 standards. In the event of a fire destroying the primary PTFE/RPTFE seat inserts, secondary metal-to-metal seating comes in contact with the ball to minimize media leakage.
Founded in 1996 and located in Yuhuan, Zhejiang—widely recognized as the "China Valve Capital"—Yuhuan Yongda Fluid Control Co., Ltd. (formerly Yuhuan Yongda Plumbing Co., Ltd.) has grown to become a leading plumbing, HVAC, and industrial valve enterprise. Our business scope integrates research, design, prototype development, high-volume production, and worldwide export distribution.
Occupying a factory footprint exceeding 45,000 square meters with an actual usable floor area of 80,000 square meters, our facility houses more than 600 sets of advanced production and testing apparatus, including 80+ dedicated machine tools. With this robust infrastructure, we supply mid-to-high grade brass valves, piping manifolds, boiler safety groups, and bespoke HVAC components to major markets across North America and Europe, exporting to more than 20 countries.
To support this expansion, our new brand, Cokaren, was established. With the brand promise of "Keep Flowing, Keep Warming", Cokaren concentrates on delivering fluid and thermal control products characterized by refined aesthetics and long-term durability, moving the company closer to its objective of functioning as a highly dynamic, global enterprise.
A professional valve company's value relies on its compliance with rigorous quality checks. Yuhuan Yongda Fluid Control Co., Ltd. operates under three major management system credentials:
Our quality control policy, "Fine work, no leakage", represents our target of zero defects. Each brass valve, check valve, and manifold assembly undergoes 100% pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing before packaging, safeguarding domestic and industrial applications against fluid containment failures.
A visual representation of our unified residential and municipal fluid distribution layouts.
Filters 98% of impurities in the pipeline, acting as the primary defense in domestic water systems.
Equipped with a spherical spool to control the flow of hot and cold water in boiler systems.
Discharges air from heat pump water systems, ensuring stable equipment operation.
Mixes hot and cold fluids to stabilize pipe temperatures and protect downstream networks.
Providing custom fluid containment systems designed to meet localized engineering challenges.
For radiant floor heating and commercial hydronic applications, Yuhuan Yongda delivers integrated solutions. By combining temperature controls with manifold bypass assemblies, these systems prevent thermal shocks and balance flow distribution across dynamic zones.
Modern wall-hung boiler installations require protection against pressure spikes. Our brass relief valve assemblies, venting filters, and connection sets prevent pressure surges, maintaining boiler safety and efficiency.
For municipal tap water and chemical dosing connections, Yuhuan Yongda manufactures heavy-duty, nickel-plated, lead-free brass ball valves. These components resist desoldering and scaling, providing long-term reliability.
