Explore our high-performance line of engineered fluid control valves, actuators, and brass fittings manufactured for global HVAC and plumbing applications.
Understanding the mechanical, thermodynamic, and automated parameters driving modern fluid control networks.
In modern industrial fluid networks, high-performance HVAC loops, and automated municipal water delivery systems, the control of reverse flow is critical. While traditional mechanical swing and spring-loaded check valves rely purely on differential pressure to operate, the global industrial landscape is rapidly transitioning toward electric check valve technology and motorized backflow prevention systems. As premier electric check valve exporters, we engineer solutions that eliminate water hammer, minimize pressure drops, and integrate seamlessly into Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT-driven smart networks.
Key Engineering Advantage: Electric check valves combine motorized actuation with high-precision internal sealing, offering zero back-leakage, programmable stroke timing, and automated power-loss closing functions that protect downstream high-pressure pumps and boilers.
When high-capacity pumps shut down abruptly, sudden pressure surges—commonly known as water hammer—can cause catastrophic pipe ruptures, pump impeller degradation, and severe noise pollution. Electric check valves resolve this by synchronizing motor speed with system pressure drops. By utilizing programmable electric actuators coupled with micro-controlled disc mechanisms, these valves close at a controlled rate right before backflow velocity peaks, completely dampening hydraulic shock waves.
Depending on the system scale, modern commercial plumbing and underfloor heating networks deploy two primary types of automated flow control: electro-thermal actuators and motorized servo gear actuators. Electro-thermal actuators, widely used in radiant floor manifolds, utilize wax expansion elements heated by low-voltage electrical signals to provide noiseless, highly reliable on/off flow regulation. Motorized gear actuators offer rapid response, micro-stepping accuracy, and feedback signal outputs (0-10V or 4-20mA) for precise proportional control in variable-flow chilled and hot water lines.
Fully compatible with Modbus, BACnet, and IoT protocols. Provides real-time valve position feedback, temperature metrics, and remote diagnostic data.
Equipped with internal supercapacitors or mechanical spring-return backups to ensure 100% leak-tight closure during sudden power loss events.
High-grade EPDM and FKM elastomeric seats combined with precision-machined brass and stainless steel discs guarantee ISO 5208 Rate A tightness.

In-depth engineering answers regarding electric check valve performance, installation, and maintenance.
A standard mechanical check valve relies strictly on fluid pressure differential to push open a disc or swing gate. An electric check valve uses an integrated electric motor or thermal actuator to actively open and close the internal mechanism. This provides automated remote control via smart thermostats or BMS, prevents water hammer through synchronized closing times, and ensures zero leakage regardless of fluid backpressure.
Thermal actuators contain a PTC heating element and a wax expansion cartridge. When a 24V or 230V signal is applied from a room thermostat, the PTC element heats the wax, causing it to expand and push down the valve stem to open or close the circuit loop. Thermal actuators operate silently, draw very little power (~2W), and have no mechanical gears to wear out.
Our electric check valves offer optional failsafe configurations. Depending on your engineering specification, you can choose "Normally Closed" (NC), "Normally Open" (NO), or capacitor-buffered fail-safe models. In fail-safe configurations, an internal supercapacitor or mechanical spring immediately drives the valve to its fully closed position upon sensing power loss, safeguarding upstream equipment from reverse flow damage.
